Day + 26

Dale's wbc this morning was 1.77. We were quite excited about that. The ANC is now 750. The Hgb - 9.0 Hct - 28.6 Platelets 80,000. This set of labs were drawn later at 10 am instead of 3 am. Not sure if this made a difference but we'll take it. The cyclosporine level was 189. (
goal - 200-300) so the dose was increased and he has to stay on the iv type of dosing until the levels are within range. The level will be rechecked on Thursday and if they are ok , the iv cyclosporine will be switched to a pill. This is one more step closer to going home. Dale and I played "pig" today and he won. "Horse" would have taken too long. He also practiced his basketball hat and ball toss. He is getting pretty good at it now. He throws the ball up and dives underneath it to catch it. He's catching more balls now so there is less balls for me to chase and retrieve from under the bed. Dale forced me to ride his bike pedal for 5 minutes today. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I actually felt better after I did it. I didn't get a chance to go outside today but it looked like a nice day from the window. Hope you had a wonderful day and may it be even better tomorrow. Thank you for your continued love and support.

hi dale,
glad to hear your numbers are going up! as mom said, "closer to going home!" i can't wait cause then i can come over and visit!

how's eski doing? haven't heard much about her (through your blog). hope she's fully recovered from her plant eating!

did you get my package yet? i sent it last week (i think on thursday). let me know if the cookies made it safely or if it's all crumbs!

next time i come up, i'll look for this apple pie (from the big island). it's sooo good. you bake it at home and yum, yum! i don't think one pie will be enough for the inouye household?

we pulled out our ski stuff tonight. we couldn't change our flight on saturday. i was hoping we could stay a little longer in la so we could "run" to the hospital, peek through the window and wave hi... soon though!

til tomorrow, take care, keep exercising (cause then i know you're healthy) and remember WE LOVE YOU AND CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR YOU!

aloha,
auntie millie

Hi Dale & Juliann,

We've been thinking about you a lot lately and sending happy thoughts your way. I email my mom and ask her for updates, and she passes on what she knows. She just told me about your blog, so now I can check it out each day.

We are so glad to hear that you are doing well and wanted to let you know that you are always in our thoughts and prayers. Keep up the good work!

Love,
Your Arizona cousins,

Hi Dale,
Sooooo good to hear about your improvements. Congratulations ! ! ! Tell Popo what you can or cannot eat. If I go directly to LA, I'll bring you either an apple or peach pie from Holy's bakery. You can only get that pie from there now. You used to be able to get pies from Holy in Kamuela and even at Times Market over here, but you can't do that anymore. Even the semi-dried fish from Happy Valley in Maui is no longer available here. I don't mean to steal Aunty Millie's good stuff, but do you remember my grand children Kenn and Kelsy? Well their Nana comes from up country past Kamuela where Holy Bakery is, so it's not that we cannot get those ono pies. In fact, we just had peach pie on Sunday night. OK?

Just as Auntie Millie said, our weather here has been the pits. BUT..... the surf in Waianae and the north shore is as high as 15-25 feet!!! Can you imagine that? Eddie would go if the surf is higher than 25 feet. You know, just as the poster said.

Thanks again Juliann for keeping us posted. It's the first thing I read when I get on to the computer and usually before I even look at my email. You guys are up there in my prayers. Big hugs to all. Love, popo and gung gung

Oh boy, how did that happen? I clicked too many times on "publish your comment" and wow, we got triple the postings. So sorry. I got excited to read 5 comments until I found that 3 were from me ! ! ! Just erase if you can. I tried, but couldn't. So sorry. It's tell me to use a different account, so maybe I'll try later. Thanks for being patient with me. So sorry to your friends and family for the triple comments. Popo

Hi Dale and Juliann,

I am being posted as Gina since I'm using my wife's google account. Dale, this is uncle Tyra. Small u in uncle since I consider myself a calabash uncle. You can call me that if you'd like, it sounds better than Mr. Rikimaru.

I grew up with your father in elementary school, we were in the scouts together. I also went to UCLA with your mom.

I wanted to let you know that we are all very proud of you! The men in my monday night men's bible study group have been praying for your healing. Their a great group of guys, tight with God, and they are about the same age as Him so I know He is hearing all their prayers.

Please say hello to your mom and dad for me.

Love,
uncle Tyra, Michael Reynolds, Dennis Lorenz, Cary Campagna, Scott Lips, John Scott, Everett Love, Steve Salazar and Michael Steinbergs.

Hi Dale,

Glad to hear your wbc numbers are increasing! Yeah! We're all praying for you and can't wait to see you at church again. Hey, the last platelet donor you received was my mom's. She said if you start craving chocolate in the middle of the night you'll know why. We enjoy reading your blog and getting the lastest updates. Take care and know that God is with you. : )
